Virgin Hotels was introduced in 2010 by Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, adding hospitality to their expansive roster of services. We launched the first property, Virgin Hotels Chicago, which marked the beginning of an upcoming worldwide expansion. We are the current agency of record for the Virgin Hotels brand.
The Virgin Hotels Chicago launch was a multi-tiered production. Our consumer-driven moment attracted local and global awareness via a “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”-themed parade starring Sir Richard Branson himself.
Following the event, Virgin Hotels hosted a private influencer event promoting discovery around the various spaces in the new property.
As guests explored the floors they were met with various live performances, art exhibitions, an “In Bed with Richard Branson” photo booth, and much more.
To celebrate this special moment in Virgin history, we created a short ‘History of Virgin’ animated video that was screened during the event and lived on the Virgin America homepage following the launch.
